Daniel J. Ramos, Mayor Pro Tem of Adelanto, proudly announces the 2024 recipients of the Adelanto Green Futures Cannabis Scholarship Program. This year’s honored scholars, T’Onna Chappell, Isis Ramirez, and Arianna Windust, have demonstrated exceptional academic dedication and perseverance, embodying the spirit of excellence and community engagement.
Initiated by Mayor Pro Tem Daniel J. Ramos, the Green Futures Cannabis Scholarship Program is the first of its kind in California, designed to support local students in their pursuit of higher education. “We are incredibly fortunate to have a thriving cannabis industry that not only supports our local schools and youth’s future but also contributes significantly to our community’s well-being,” said Ramos.
The scholarship funds, disbursed directly to educational institutions, aim to alleviate financial burdens and help students achieve their academic goals. “Investing in education is investing in our city’s future,” Ramos stated. “It’s an honor to support these remarkable students as they pursue higher learning.”
The City of Adelanto applauds these recipients and encourages them to continue their educational journey with determination. This scholarship underscores Adelanto’s commitment to fostering a brighter future for its youth. “I was inspired by a similar initiative in Pueblo County, Colorado, and I’m grateful to bring this opportunity to our community,” Ramos added.
As part of his re-election campaign, Daniel J. Ramos highlights this scholarship program as a testament to his dedication to education and community development. Recognizing the achievements of T’Onna Chappell, Isis Ramirez, and Arianna Windust showcases the tangible impact of his leadership and vision for Adelanto.
Mayor Pro Tem Daniel J. Ramos, along with Mayor Gabriel Reyes and the Adelanto City Council, extends heartfelt congratulations to this year’s Green Futures Cannabis Scholarship recipients, wishing them continued success in their academic and future endeavors.
